Giving back is part of who we are

At Stream Financial, supporting our local community isn’t just a nice-to-have – it’s a core part of our values.

Did you know that every fortnightly pay cycle, our team members voluntarily donate $5 to our donation pool? At the end of each quarter, Stream Financial matches that figure, and thanks to our partnership with Count Charity, that amount is doubled again, creating a meaningful impact. Staff and clients are invited to vote for one of two selected local charities, and the winning cause receives the donation.

Beyond financial support, we also believe in giving our time. Each quarter, our team steps out of the office and into the community, volunteering a few hours to support local initiatives. These experiences not only strengthen our team bond, but also deepen our connection to the communities we live and work in — and continues to remind us of the power of giving back together.

Community work over the years

See below some highlights of our efforts over the past few years.

Daniel Morcombe – October 2022, October 2023
Our team was honoured to volunteer at the Daniel Morcombe march.  Our team was given the job to serve/help the VIP guests including federal politicians, the Police Commissioner and local dignitaries. This involved making many coffees with the 5am start. We were grateful to take part in this day and help the Morcombe’s with their noble cause.

Clean Up Australia Day – February 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021
Stream Financial is located in a lovely village setting.  We love where we work and enjoy taking the morning to clean up our local area.  We focused on our immediate building area collecting rubbish from carparks and gardens.  Some team members went further a field and removed litter from the nearby St Martins Creek.

Sunshine Coast Council Bushcare Community – May 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021
Each year we work at the Point Cartwright Reserve in Buddina for the morning, planting native species in the dunes as well as weeding and collecting rubbish.  Bushcare’s focus in this area is dune regeneration and turtle nest care. It is always nice to have a cuppa tea and a biscuit with the regular volunteers after the hard work and to hear about the conservation activities in the area.

RizeUp Australia – Collection Point – December 2024
During the busiest part of the year, we facilitated a drop off location for RizeUp.  We chatted with clients during visits about making a donations as well as advertising the cause in our local community by dropping leaflets, sharing at network groups and advertising online. It was very rewarding to know the bundle of gifts donated were going to well deserving families.

Bloomhill Cancer Care – September 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018
Bloomhill Cancer Care is an amazing centre that provides local community- based integrative cancer care services.  They provide support to patients and family members in a beautiful oasis on the top of Buderim.  We volunteer at Bloomhill in their gardens with the weeding.  It sounds like a small feat; but the grounds are expansive and every little bit helps with the maintenance of the property. Bloomhill Family Fun Day? Mural?

BabyBox – August 2024
Our staff attended a conference in New Zealand and volunteered their time with a local charitable trust called Baby Box.  The mission of BabyBox is to connect people and services, who have new babies and may be struggling.  BabyBox needed help sewing some blankets for the boxes which we were all too pleased to help with.

FairFax Senior Forum – March 2024
A number of the staff volunteered their time to provide information to seniors about retirement planning and pension structures.  Our Senior Adviser, Lachlan, shared complimentary and vital information to the attendees as a guest speaker.
