People have asked me, why did you choose financial planning? Growing up, I was very sport oriented, and I guess it was easy to assume that heading down the avenue of becoming a Financial Planner wasn’t something people close to me would have foreseen.
There was a point in my life, whilst in the later years of high school, where I realised that I had to figure out what I wanted my life to look like. Although I tried to find the hidden gem of what my life’s purpose would be, I couldn’t find it.
Fast forward to now, and the experiences I have had in my life have led me closer to finding that hidden gem. I have learnt that helping people is rewarding, it has substance that provides fulfilment in life and I am naturally drawn to that.
I have learnt that I need to be the best version of myself so that I am in a position to help others. There is no point in trying to help others, if I can’t first, help myself. Sometimes this can be hard, but I have also learnt, that nothing good ever comes easy.
My journey is not yet over, and I am excited to see what’s in store along the way. I have a clearer vision and a great team around me at Stream Financial, who I am privileged to have help me throughout my journey.
